Minion Bells Have Dark Hard Centers Where Flowers Were Produced A Few Times Before Stopping

Question From: OHIO
Q: I Have hanging baskets of minion bells. After the dead flowers have fallen off a few times the inside where the flower would be if it produced my flowers now is getting a black hard center and no more flowers grow there. Why? This has happened every year that I've had them.

Sounds like you may be over watering them. Do not get the leaves and flowers wet. When the temperatures drop below 85, fertilize them weekly. In mid summer trim the scraggly stems back. Best Nancy and Happy Yrdening
