Q: For the first time this year my monarda is showing curled, distored leaves in the center growth area. It is about 2 feet tall at the moment, but The curled centers don't look good so I am afraid they won't mature and flower. It is an established patch that has not had problems prior to this

A: Take samples of damage and photo to an independent garden center or nursery that sells these plants. I would cut off all the damaged growth back and dispose of it in the trash. The good news is it is early and the plants have time to develop new flower buds. Good Luck, Nancy
