Morning Glory And Clematis Leaves Are Getting Eaten To Stems Above Ground Level

Question From: K. Stanchfield - MICHIGAN
Q: Help, something is eating all the leaves of my morning glorys! All that is left is stems! The vine is five feet up the pole and some of the leaves around the bottom are not eaten. Also the same thing is happening to my sweet autumn climatis. What could be doing this and what can I do about it? I have birds and wildlife in my yard so I don't want to use a spray that could harm them, but what can I do?

A: My guess is deer have found your garden. I use Plantskydd spray to deter them.
Best Nancy.
