Mountain Ash Berries Fall Off Quickly In Spring

Question From: G. Moseley - IDAHO
Q: My mountain ash berries fall off soon after forming in spring. Why and what can be done?

A: Mountain ash trees flower in spring and produce berries about August. I suggest you take photos of the tree,. including close up of the bark and samples of the leaves to a local independent garden center or nursery that sells these trees for an accurate ID and advice. The horticulture agent at your county extension may also be helpful. Best Nancy
