Mountain Ash Tree Has Very Few Leaves

Question From: Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, United States
Q: Our mountain ash tree is looking sickly.very few leaves on it. What can we do know for a better tree in the spring?

Shari, you need to have an onsite inspection from a certified arborist to give you an accurate assessment of what is wrong with your tree. Stress from drought two years ago and two bitter cold winters have taken their toll on trees here in the midwest. Weakened trees are magnets for insects and diseases. To find a professional in your area go to www.tcia.org and enter your zip code. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
