Q: mt laurel is approx 10 feet tall, all other mt laurel ok. this one leaves turned yellow and fell off. However, at the base of the truck there is a jelly like substance coming out of the bark. I sprayed bug spray. should I remove the tree so the others do not get infested?
A: If you are unwilling to have an onsite inspection from a certified arborist removal is probably a good idea. But do keep a keen eye on the others and be sure to remove all the residue from the target tree. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
