New Growth On Monet Weigela Has Darker Solid Color Leaves

Q: Why does the new growth on my Monet Weigela have darker solid green leaves instead of mint green and pink?

Those branches are reverting to their original parentage. Remove all branches with solid green leaves. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
