New Growth On Rose Bushes Shrivels And Dies At Tips

Question From: C. Johnston - Pownal, Vermont, United States
Q: My rose bushes bloomed well in June, but now lush new growth that should form flower buds, shrivels and dies at the tip. Is there some insect burrowing into the new growth at the tip? This happened last year as well

Your roses may have bud worm, Treating with Bt or neem should help. Get it at your local independent garden center. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
