New Guinea Impatiens Look Faded

Question From: Clarion, Pennsylvania, United States
Q: my new guinea impatients leaves look faded (not the normal green)

They probably have powdery mildew. Spray them with a neem oil product labeled for such. Serenade is another product that will work and is OMRI listed. Be sure to cover the undersides of the leaves. Planting in cold soil and cold damp weather encourages this disease. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
