New Guinea Impatiens Petals Are Losing Color And Developing White Rims

Question From: K. Perry - RHODE ISLAND
Q: Hi Nancy. What would cause my red new guinea impatiens to develop white rims around the petals? I planted them about 2 weeks ago and this started about a week later. Also petals of all colors seem to be limp. I have watered every day except for the days that it has rained. Any suggestions?

A: You may be over watering them, that will cause wilting. The white spots may be chemical burn. Any spraying going on in your yard? Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
