New Guinea Impatiens Petals Are Losing Color And Developing White Rims

Question From: K. Perry - RHODE ISLAND
Q: Hi Nancy. What would cause my red new guinea impatiens to develop white rims around the petals? I planted them about 2 weeks ago and this started about a week later. Also petals of all colors seem to be limp. I have watered every day except for the days that it has rained. Any suggestions?

You may be over watering them, that will cause wilting. The white spots may be chemical burn. Any spraying going on in your yard? Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
