Newly Planted Viburnum Turning Yellow After Lots Of Rain

Question From: C. Mayer - Tampa, Florida, United States
Q: I live in Tampa and we have had a lot of rain in the last month or so. My newly planted viburnum are turning yellow. Is it because they are too wet? How can I dry out the soil? Will they be ok if I do nothing?

Carol, I suggest you contact the nursery where you bought the plants. If you have good drainage, too much rain should not bother them. If your soil remains soggy you may need to install a french drain. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
