One Mountain Laurel Is Not As Healthy As Others

Question From: R. Nagle - New Jersey, United States
Q: About four years ago I planted Mountain Laurel in a part sun, part shade area of my yard. Three of the four ML are doing fine, but one of them is always wilted and weak looking. It will not die, but it looks sickly. The leaves and stems appear to be in good shape, regardless. I have sprayed for bugs and fungus, but the plant (now about three feet tall) never seems to improve, and its growth has always been slow. Any ideas?

Replace it. It may be a slacker. It will never look as good as the others. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
