One Third Of Climbing Hydrangea Leaves Are Very Small

Question From: L. Anderson - Springfield, Ohio, United States
Q: My climbing hydrangea is about 20 years. 2/3 of the leaf growth is a normal size but the remainder leaf size is very small . What is happening? ( it climbs a brick wall ).

Linda, It probably suffered frost damage over the winter, Many trees and shrubs are showing the same symptoms. Be sure to keep it well watered and fertilize it with Espoma Holly Tone. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
