Q: We have what looks like a small spider that seems to have eaten the buds off of our pear tree. Any ideas?
A: Spiders do not eat flower buds, they eat bugs. We had a brutal winter that damaged flower buds on trees and shrubs. If your tree has leafed out and is looking good I would not worry. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy.
