Petunias Turn Dry And Stringy And Do Not Bloom

Question From: S. Economy - Michigan, United States
Q: Since last year i have been planting wave petunias in my patio pots With geraniums. They start out great but then become dry and stringy without blooms. I have fertilizing with MiracleGro which the geraniums seem to love Am i doing something wrong with the petunias?

A: Petunias have different requirements when it comes to fertilizing. I recommend using Jack's Classic Petunia FEed specially formulate for petunias. It's also lower in salts than MG which tends to burn tender petunias. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
