Phlox Plant Leaves Look Like They Have Rust On Them

Question From: Saint Michael, Minnesota, United States
Q: My phlox plant leaves look like they have rust on them. What can I do about this.

Well, they may have a fungal disease called rust. A sulfur based fungicide will control the disease on new growth but not clear the damaged foliage. Best to remove all infected foliage in fall and treat plants early next spring before the disease rears its ugly head. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
