Q: I have a pickling cucumber plant - actually 4 plants in a very large pot. They are growing up the trellis and everything looks great. There are many flowers with one inch cucs. They are not growing bigger than that. What should I do to make the cucs keep growing?
A: Excessive heat and drought will halt the growth of vegetables. Be sure the plants do not grow out and pray for cooler weather. Do water them so the soil stays moist, but not sodden. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
