Question From: MICHIGAN
Q: Hello. Our pine tree has what looks like clumps of sap that turn whitish green. It also has a w hole in the trunk and is dripping fresh sap. The tree drops needles. The needles do not turn brown before they fall off. They are falling off all over the tree and some young branches have no needles. The tree overall still looks ok but as you get closer you see the trunk damage and needles on the ground. These symtoms seemed a little different from the pine page I read and I cannot figure it out. I would appreciate your help.
A: Colleen, If you value this tree I recommend you get an onsite inspection from a certified arborist, a trained tree doctor. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
