Pink Astilbe Is No Longer Pink

Question From: Agassiz, British Columbia, Canada
Q: I live in BC Canada and have had a pink astilbe in my garden for a few years but last year and this year the pink plumes are no longer pink. They are more like a green color.

Your astilbes were hybrids and the crosses were not stabile. The plants are reverting. If pink is your passion replace them. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
