Red Geranium Flowers Are Black

Question From: Monroe, North Carolina, United States
Q: black flowers in a red geranium

Black is usually an indication of fungus Nell. Cut off the infected flowers and treat with a fungicide according to package directions. Unless you are attached to the plant, I'd ditch it, soil and all, wash the pot with bleach at a ratio of one to 10 with water and begin again. Try not to over water.
