Red Salvia Flowers Are Turning Pale

Question From: G. Everett - Baton Rouge, Louisiana, United States
Q: My Red Salvia flowers are turning pale as though they are bleached. Should I remove all the dead looking flowers? Do they need to have dry soil or moist? We have had a lot of rain. Would this cause the plant to look like this?

Cut off the faded blooms and new blooms will form. Salvia likes moist soil but not sodden soil. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
