Rommie I recommend you do what I would do if that were my tree. I am not a tree doctor so I don't diagnose or treat trees. They are too precious to loose. And often trees show signs of disease, damage or stress that mask other issues. So I recommend you have a certified arborist, a trained tree doctor do an onsite inspection of your tree.
