Question From: C. Huber - Murfreesboro, Tennessee, United States
Q: I saw where someone else posted about their River Birch tree not leafing out this year. I live in middle TN and am having the same problem with one of mine and noticed that there are numerous others in the neighborhood with the same issue. Could the weather be a factor?
A: A late freeze may have damaged the leaves in bud. The good news is trees have latent buds that will emerge when this happens. It takes time, so be patient and keep the tree watered in the meantime. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
