Rose Buds Are Turning Brown At Base And Nearby Stem

Question From: J. Fredrickson - NEBRASKA
Q: My minature rose bush has a few buds that start turning brown at their base and the stem right next to the bud is also turning brown. What causes this?

A: Your rose has the fungal disease Botrytis Blight, Sanitation is the best way to get rid of it. Remove the dead buds and canes. Removing spent blossoms will help also. Best Nancy and. Happy Yardening
