Rose Bush Stems Are Unable To Hold Up Blooms

Question From: B. White - Paragould, Arkansas, United States
Q: My 37 rose bushes are beautiful and each have many, many large blooms. They are so large the stems are too small to hold them upright they all droop. What can I do to correct this?

A: Lack of water is often the issue in hot weater. The plant cannot take up enough water fasted enough. Using a soaker hose and mulching the plants with 3 inches of organic material will help. Things should improve when the temperatures cool down. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy.
