Q: we planted boxwoods last summer then sandy hit. some of the leaves are brown does that mean dead or if you prune and fertilize will them come back?
A: I would water them well twice a week to wash away the salt from the soil. Prune off the dead stuff and see how they do and look. Do not fertilize them. Google salt damaged plants Rutgers University for information on how to treat soil soaked with brackish water. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
