Q: Serviceberry tree is about 10 years old. This year it has scarce small leaves and some top branches have no leaves. This is the first year for this problem. Would it help to have it topped/cut way back?
A: Sad to say it is probably toast. Trees need leaves to manufacture food. Best bet is to keep it watered and hope for the best. By fall I'd begin shopping for a replacement. Best Nancy
