Shademaster Locust Tree Branches Have Been Dying In Increasing Numbers

Question From: OHIO
Q: I have 2 shademaster locust trees and has been dying branches for the last 4 years. I cut the dead out of it 2 years ago but it is getting worse. There is mulch around them with ground cover. They are 33 years old. Is there anything you suggest that I could do to save it?

A: It's in pretty bad shape and I doubt whether it can be saved. However, to find out if there is any chance, get an onsite inspection from a certified arborist. To find one in your area go to tcia.org and enter your zip code. Best Nancy and Good Luck
