Shasta Daisy Flowers Have Turned Brown And New Shoots Are Very Small

Question From: Savannah, New York, United States
Q: Hello my shasta daisies were beautiful for about a month and now the flowers are all turning brown. I dead headed them but I only see a couple of new shoots and they are very small. The leaves are green and I don't see holes in the leaves.

Sounds like heat stress. Many plants shut down when temperatures rise about 85 degrees. Be sure to keep them well watered. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
