Should Burned Leaves On Cherry Laurel Tree Be Removed

Question From: B. Potterton - Boonton Township, New Jersey, United States
Q: I have three tall (12 ft) cherry laurels in front of a 5 ft. fence. Two of them have many burnt leaves near the top after this hot summer. Should I prune them now (in autumn), and how far back?

Do not prune them. Let Mother Nature take her course. Just be sure to keep them watered through the fall season and see how they do next spring. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
