Should Dahlia With New Growth Be Left In Pots After Trimming Of Dry Leaves And Stalks

Question From: C. Skoy - Holmen, Wisconsin, United States
Q: My dahlias in pots started to dry up in August heat. I trimmed off the dry leaves and stalks and notice that there is some new growth on some stalks. Should I leave in pots or remove and get ready for storage?

I'd leave them in the pots. For more information on care of dahlia bulbs go to https://www.dahliabarn.com/dahlia-care/ they have an e-mail q and a and should be able to answer any questions you may have. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
