Question From: Louisville, Kentucky, United States
Q: When harvesting dill seeds should they be washed and , of course, dried thoroughly before grinding? I've always wondered whether herbs need to be washed before using as I have seen friends pick them off and eat them there and then.
A: Do not wash the seeds. Hopefully you have not used pesticides so there is no chance of contamination. If you plan to store them allow them to dry thoroughly before packaging. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
