Should Soaker Hose Be Placed Above Or Below Landscape Cloth

Question From: Harveys Lake, Pennsylvania, United States
Q: Should a soaker hose be installed on top of weed barrier to prevent soil from blocking the hose?

I would lay the soaker hose ion the surface of the landscape cloth so if you have to repair or replace the soaker hose you don't have to tear up the landscape cloth and should you have to dig you will know where the hose is and avoid damaging it. A good organic mulch will cover the soaker hose. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
