Question From: G. Klopp - Erlanger, Kentucky, United States
Q: I have a hill that has a lot of thistle on it. A landscaper came by today and suggested I plant sweet woodruff on the hill. is this a good idea? Is this plant maintenance free? What would you suggest I plant on the hill? The hill gets pretty much sun. I am looking for something that is maintenance free. Thanks for your help.
A: Gayle, Sweet woodruff is a poor choice. I grow it in my shade garden. I suggest you look for a new landscaper, someone who has experience doing this type of planting. Get references and visit established plantings. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy.
