Some Crepe Myrtles Seem To Restart All Growth Each Year

Question From: T. Cramer - ARKANSAS
Q: I have planted about 24 Crepe Myrtles in my yard about 4 years ago. Most are doing great, but I have 3 that always seem to "start over" each year and only get about 5 feet tall. Tag says they get up to 15'. They do flower and they look great. But, each following Spring, they seem to start over with new growth and none on the previous "branches". Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

These crepes may be a different variety. Take photos and sample of leaves to a nursery that specializes in these plants for an accurate ID. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
