Question From: Elwood, Nebraska, United States
Q: Nancy, just planted a bunch of emerald green arborvitae (22). I have a couple that the top needles are yellowing. Several with droopy branches. I didn't mulch them but gave them plenty of water. Too much possibly? Don't want to lose any of them. I didn't get them in the ground right away but kept them watered.
A: It takes a bit if time for evergreens to die from overwatering. Hopefully you removed any burplap wrapping. Work your hand down into the rootballs and see if the soil is wet. The only thing to do is keep them watered and wait and see. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy.
