Some Marigold Leaves Are Turning White

Question From: Hannibal, Missouri, United States
Q: Some of the leaves on the marigolds look a little white. Am I over watering? The plants are still producing blooms and I cut off the old blossoms.

A: Your marigolds may have the fungal disease powdery mildew. Take samples of affected plants to your local independent garden center for an accurate ID and control. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
