Some Viburnum Leaves Are Turning Brown And Crisp At Tips

Question From: Columbia, Tennessee, United States
Q: I have a Mariesli Doublefile Viburnum that is about two years old which is having problems. The mature leaves are turning brown on the tips and become crisp. I am trying to remove the affected leaves and have cut out the stalks which have complete withered leaves on them. I have mulched the base of the plant with pine bark mulch but not sprayed with any chemicals yet. The plant appears to be vigorous in spots. I am located in Middle Tennessee South of Nashville.

Sounds like a fungal disease that attacks shrubs in stress. Here's a link to a website that explains the situation and how to care for your Viburnum.
