Q: Some branches ,several are denuded of new pine needles. I do not see any insects. We feel rabbits ate the bottom of two other spruce trees . We put chichen wire around them and they are doing fine but look bare at the bottom. The problem on the new tree is the scaling of the needles is two feet up the tree. What do you think is going on?
A: Sounds like deer damage to me. Deer with eat new growth. I use a produce called Plantskydd. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
