Sunlight And Fertilizer Requirements For Heather Plants

Question From: West Islip, New York, United States
Q: How much direct or indirect sun does a heather plant need?

Six hours or more is a must. Very will drained lean acidic soil is also a must. Mix an acid plant loving fertlizer such as Espoma Holly Tone in with the soil when you plant them and then feed the rest to other plants. Don't even think about using something like Miracle-Gro. Don't buy the pretties sold in grocery stores for use outdoor. They probably will not be hardy in your area. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
