Question From: D. Brandt - Glenmont, Ohio, United States
Q: We have a lot of very tall pine trees in our yard. There are thousands of 2-4" tips with green needles that are falling off many of the trees. Can you explain why this is happening? It has never done this before. we live in central ohio.
David, Your trees may be suffering drought, disease or insects or a combination of the latter. Different species of trees are vulnerable to different diseases and insects and timing of treatment varies. If they were my trees I would get an onsite inspection from a certified arborist. To find one in your area go to www.tcia.org and enter your zip code. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
