Tomato Leaves Are Curling

Question From: Irwin, Pennsylvania, United States
Q: tomato plants leaves curling what is cause and cure

Raymond, There are a variety of reasons tomato leaves curl. Weather variations is one - hot to cold, cold to hot or too much rain, not enough rain. Leaves once shaded by other leaves suddenly exposed to full sun will curl to protect themselves. Damage from chemicals will also do it, as in herbicide drift. Once the situation stabilizes, new leaves will be normal until a new situation arises. The good news is the tomato plant will continue growing and producing tomatoes. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy.
