Top Growth Of Bleeding Heart Plant Has Died

Question From: M. Bowen - Scottsville, Kentucky, United States
Q: I bought a nice bleeding heart and couldn't keep it evenly watered, the top growth died back but root feels firm, and roots do also. Is there a chance that I can save it?? I now ave a better watering system. Thank you for your help.

Bleeding hearts go dormant when the area dries up. It should return next spring. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
