Transplanted Akebono Sapling Leaves Have Turned Brown

Question From: M. Molina - TEXAS
Q: My recently transplanted akebono sapling has browned all of its leaves, after doing a bark scratch test it's still green and moist. Is it dead and should I remove it?

A: Heard to say. Sounds like it wasn't well watered. Tranplants should be watered daily for the first two weeks and then every other day for another couple of weeks. Latent leaf buds my produce another set of leaves if the roots did not completely dry out. Best Nancy and Happy Yardeninv
