Q: I recently plants transplanted my windmill palm from one location that it was outgrowing on the corner of my house in the front to a bigger area that will get some room to grow. I recently noticed that it’s getting black spots on the leaves is this a normal occurrence when it’s in stress I examined it for bugs I don’t seem to see any please help

A: Those spots are not the result of stress or insects. My guess is you plant has a fungal disease. Take samples of the leaves to an independent garden center or nursery that sells these plants for an accurage ID and method of control. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
