Trumpet Vine Has Brown Spots On Leaves

Question From: M. Hodges - MISSOURI
Q: I have a trumpet vine that has brown spots on the leaves and has had this for the last 2 years. Is there anything that I can spray on it or what should I do so it will not die out?

A:

Sorry for the delay Margaret. Your e-mail got stuck in my drafts box. Your trumpet vine has a fungal disease. I recommend you spray it with Actinovate this spring. It is omri listed and safe to use. Follow the directions and repeat as directed. To much fertilizer is often a problem. Once established trumpet vines do well on their own. Happy Yardening, Nancy.
