Tulip Poplar Tree Has Little Black Bugs And Leaves Are Turning Brown And Falling

Question From: D. Ogburn - Panama City, Florida, United States
Q: I have a tulip poplar tree that I noticed little black bugs, about the size of an ant,but don't look like ants. I live in Florida so we have had a lot of very hot weather and then about 10 days straight of rain. Now the leaves are turning brown and falling.

The systemic Bayer Tree and Shrub insecticide will take care of the many insects that attack these trees. Be sure to read and follow the package directions. Do keep the tree watered. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
