Tulip Trees And Nearby Bushes Have Purple Veins

Question From: C. Cheek - Hume, Virginia, United States
Q: We have tulip trees on our hill in the woods. At the end of last summer and during the summer, I noticed that some had purple veins. It did not seem to affect the leaves much. I also noted the purple veins and some nearby bushes but I don't remember the bush type. Any idea what causes this?

I recommend you contact a certified arborist who has expertise with plants and shrubs and what effects them in your area. To find one in your area go to www.tcia.org and enter your zipcode. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy
