Using Grape Hyacinth As Bulb Marker

Question From: West Bloomfield Township, Michigan, United States
Q: Hi Nancy, I know that you wrote about using golf tees and decorative jewel or stone glued on top to mark planting of bulbs. My husband uses one of those 200 mph blowers so markers don't last long in my garden. When I plant bulbs now, I throw a handfull of grape hyacinths in also. My grape hyacinths always put up leaves in late summer and early fall to remind me that I have bulbs planted there. A tip that you might consider. Love your column in the homestyle section.

Thanks for the kinds words. Best And Happy Yardening, Nancy.
